Some tips on using color in your works:
1. Don’t use paint right out of the tube or container, Mix a more subtle shade! Use blacks and whites with the paint to create tints and shades.
2. Use color schemes the way you would in painting- Complimentary, split-Complimentary, Triadic, Analogous
3. Contrast the color of the paint with the color of the wood.
4: Use a mixture of rough and precise applications. The contrast in craft can help the viewer know that everything in your work is deliberate.
Use tape for straight lines!
